In place of the the multi-city bashes Anansi had planned for its three poetry titles this Spring, the press has asked each of its poets to present video readings as a way of celebrating the launches of our books from isolation.
First up is a my “Bash” for As Far As You Know. Here, I recite a poem entitled “A Throw of the Dice” from my study in downtown Toronto.
Anansi has also published my poem, “Names of Birds” on their website in honour of the launch.
Please visit Anansi for copies of my book, and check out their fabulous Reading Apart Together initiative. It may be the biggest ad best BOGO of quarantine: When you buy an ebook (like AFAYK) you can send a digital copy to a friend for free!
I promise to keep the video poems coming. And, I’m very much looking forward to viewing readings by fellow Anansi poets, Mathew Henderson, who has launched Roguelike, and John Elizabeth Stintzi who has debuted Junebat this Spring!
