George Elliot Clarke hosts this tranzac-transcendent evening of ten jazzy, operatic, arabesque, bluesy, funky and soulful poems performed by pianist Narmina Afandiyeva and vocalist USHA. Readings from the poetry of Allan Briesmaster, George Elliott Clarke, Brenda Clews, Luciano Iacobelli (1956-2022), A.F. Moritz, Giovanna Riccio, Yeshim Ternar, Andrea Thompson, and YIN Xiaoyuan (of Beijing, China) are followed by poems set to music by composers Holly Arsenault, Eddie Bullen, Emily Hiemstra, Juliet Palmer, James Rolfe, Liberty Silver, and Namratha Sridevi. This promises to be an extravagant evening of the extraordinary beauty of poetry and song!
