
I am delighted to announce that Great Silent Ballad is among the ten books of poetry nominated by the Al Purdy A-Frame Association (APAFA) for the 2025 Al & Eurithe Purdy Poetry Prize.
According to the APAPFA:
The $10,000 prize honours the most outstanding new poetry book published in Canada in 2024 by an established poet with five or more traditionally published poetry books.
Laisha Rosnau, Sam Solecki, and Sid Marty (the inaugural 2024 prize winner for Oldman’s River: New and Collected Poems) formed this year’s jury.

The prize’s shortlist will be released on March 31, 2025. And the winner will be announced on the 25th anniversary of Al Purdy’s passing, April 21, 2025.
