Anansi Poetry Bash: Toronto
April 12, 2018 @ 7:00 pm - 10:00 pm
At 7:00 pm on April 12, 2018, join me at the Henderson Brewing Company (128A Sterling Road) for the Anansi Poetry Bash. I will be launching my new book, The Sparrow, along with fellow poets Emma Healey () and Mikko Harvey ()!
The evening will be hosted by Kevin Connolly.
All three books will be available to purchase, including limited edition broadsheets and special edition poetry books.
No tickets required + the event is free. There will be non-alcoholic drinks available. Henderson Brewing Co. is wheelchair accessible.
And if you haven’t had a chance to explore Anansi’s new bookstore, which is located right next to Henderson Brewing Co., you can do so the night of the Poetry Bash! The bookstore will be open from 7:00 — 10:00pm.
DIRECTIONS
The Poetry Bash is at Henderson Brewing Co. (128A Sterling Road) in Toronto’s Junction Triangle neighbourhood, the closest intersection being Sterling Road and College. You can get there in 4 different ways:
UP Express: Henderson Brewing Co. is located right along the Toronto West Railpath. If you’re taking the UP Express from Union, get off at the Bloor stop and walk south along the railpath until you reach Henderson’s. It’s a short 5 minute walk.
Subway: The closest subway stop is Dundas West Station, which is located at Dundas West and Bloor. Once you arrive at the station, walk east on Bloor (approximatly a 3 minute walk) until you reach Sterling Road, and then walk south on Sterling until you reach Henderson’s.
Streetcar: The 505 Dundas and 506 Carlton both make stops at Sterling Road and College. At the stop walk north on Sterling Road for approximately 3 minutes until you arrive at Hendersons.
Car: There is parking lot in front of Henderson’s / House of Anansi — parking is FREE, but please do not drive if you’re planning on having any drinks at the Poetry Bash. If you’re the designated driver, Henderson’s has a great selection of non-alcoholic drinks to choose from, including an old fashioned house-made root beer.
