Chapbook
Lemming House, 1989
A selection of poems later incorporated into The Ruined Cottage (Wolsak and Wynn).
from Big Weather
And bank towers sway — they are the darkened pines
on a rocky mountainside at twilight, a storm approaching
over a village, the one spire shining in the one ray,
an ashen huddle of roofs.
from The World on Which We Stand
No wonder in the intervals we pray
to be left alone, and almost dream
that if we went to the door and the world were gone
we would turn back to our bed, content.
